About EFRC

The EFRC is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1991 by Joe Taft in Center Point,

Indiana to provide permanent homes for exotic felines that have been abused,

abandoned, or for some reason have nowhere to live out their lives, while educating the

public about these beautiful cats. Today, 230 tigers, lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats

and more (9 different species from 24 states and the former Yugoslavia) call the EFRC

home. We are the largest USDA licensed big cat sanctuary in the United States.

o    We do not buy, sell or breed cats;

o    We give big cats a home for life;

o    We provide stable social groups;

o    We provide enhanced environments;

o    We provide the best veterinary care for each cat.
